This is a Brazilian lady who tripped and fell with resulting fracture of the nasal bones. Before
undergoing repair, she requested alteration of some of the cosmetic features of the nose. Specifically, she wanted to reduce the appearance of the columella (i.e. the strip of skin and tissue separating the nostrils), as she felt it hung too low. She also did not like the asymmetry of the nostrils, which on base view shows that the right is slightly longer than the left. Finally, she wanted to reduce the appearance of the hump present along the dorsum (i.e. “bridge” area) of the nose on profile. In her postoperative photos, we see her at one year and one month following the initial procedure. She is thoroughly happy with the refined appearance of the nose and the confidence it has given her.
